Livescan/Fingerprinting hours are Monday/Wednesday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00am to 11:00am (excluding holidays). Prints are done on a first come, first served basis. Please have your Request for Livescan form filled out ahead of time. We will need to see your photo identification. We accept cash, check or money order. (No debit or credit cards)

If you feel your citation was issued in error or want it reviewed for other reasons, please fill out the top portion only of the Parking Ticket Review Form and provide it to the Fort Bragg Police Department at 250 Cypress Street in Fort Bragg, CA. You have 21 days from the date the citation was issued to request an administrative review. Your ticket will be placed on a hold status and you will not be required to pay the ticket until after it has been reviewed.

Your Citation can be paid online or you can mail the payment. Your citation is a mailing envelope. In order to pay the citation, place a payment equal to the listed fine inside and seal the envelope. After sealing the envelope, place a stamp in the upper right corner and place it in any United States post office pickup location.

Property releases are done by appointment only. Please call our Property & Evidence Technician at 707-961-2800 Ext 102 and make an appointment to obtain your property. You may be asked to show proof of ownership such as a receipt. Ask the Property & Evidence Technician what kind of paperwork you will need to bring with you.

Vehicles parked on public streets over 72 hours may be considered abandoned vehicles. By calling in the location and description of the vehicle to the Fort Bragg Police Department at (707) 964-0200, we will come out and check to ensure that the vehicle is not stolen and confirm that it is currently registered. The Officer will then place a warning notice on the vehicle. If the vehicle does not move at least 1/10th of a mile, the vehicle can be cited after 72 hours and ultimately towed away at the owners expense.

It is not unlawful to park a vehicle on a public street, even in front of your house, if it is legally parked, currently registered and moves every 72 hours.

All Officers are required to attend a California P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training) academy and any training required by California legislature.

In addition to the above training Officers may attend specialized training in specific fields related to their assignments.
